Jay Z Turned Down Offer To Perform At Super Bowl

According to 'an insider' for The Sun, NFL reps offered Jay-z the halftime show for Super Bowl 2018. It has also been reported that HOV turned down the offer.  It only makes sense that he turned the offer down, especially after showing his solidarity with NFLer Colin Kaepernick during his performance in NYC last week.

“I want to dedicate this song to Colin Kaepernick tonight,” Hov said before performing the song, 'The Story of O.J.'. “I want to dedicate this [song] to Dick Gregory. I want to dedicate this song to anyone that was held back and you overcame.”

If these reports are true and that offer was legit, in my perspective, it seems like the NFL is not trying to "top last year's performance" but really trying to go against the NFL boycott and get it's black viewers back.
