2018 AAFCA Awards: 'Get Out' & 'Girls Trip' Honored As The Best In 2017

The African American Film Critics Association recently announced it's winners for this year's best TV shows and films. According to the AAFCA, Get Out was the best picture of 2017. Along with winning best picture, the film also won the best screenplay of 2017.  Jordan Peele earned an award as best director, while Daniel Kaluuya was honored as best actor for the thriller.

Girls Trip was also a smash hit at the box office and the AAFCA honored the film as the best comedy of 2017. Although Tiffany Haddish didn't receive a golden globe Nomination for the film, the talented superstar will be taking home her AAFCA award for "Best Supporting Actress" in Girls Trip.  

The 2018 AAFCA Awards ceremony is set for  Feb. 7 in 2018 at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood. Check out the full list of winners below!
